Fence Maintenance - Throughout Evergreen

We hope this letter finds you well. As a valued member of our community, your commitment to maintaining the appearance and integrity of our neighborhood is greatly appreciated. A well-kept community enhances property values, promotes a sense of pride, and ensures a welcoming environment for all residents.
We are hearing from many homeowners who are concerned with the condition of some fences, particularly those along James McKevitt Blvd, Fish Creek Blvd, and 162 Ave, and how it reflects on the community. We wanted to take this opportunity to remind homeowners that the upkeep and maintenance of fences, including staining, is the responsibility of individual homeowners. This responsibility is outlined in the restrictive covenant registered on your property with Land Titles. As many fences are showing signs of wear and are in need of maintenance we are calling on all owners to undertake this maintenance this spring and bring the curb appeal back to Evergreen. Please complete any required maintenance by July 31st, 2025, so everyone can enjoy a well-kept environment throughout the summer.
To maintain the high standards of our neighborhood, we request all homeowners to inspect their fences and take necessary actions such as cleaning, repairing, and staining where needed. Weather exposure over time can cause fading, peeling, and structural wear, making routine maintenance essential.
We understand that maintaining a property requires time and effort, but your proactive approach will help preserve the beauty and value of our community. If you are unsure of how to proceed with fence maintenance, consider consulting a local contractor or researching best practices for staining and repairs. The HOA may also provide guidance or recommendations upon request.

“Dark Evergreen” (Evergreen Estates - brown)
- BEHR Paint Colour: RUGGED TAN N190-4
“Light Evergreen” (Evergreen - cream)
- BEHR Paint Colour: PALE PARSNIP S320-2
BEHR Paint is available at Home Depot. There is a Home Depot in Shawnessy. Home Depot recommends flat paint for the fence.
